Adam Sayer Designs is now Rookee! I took down AdamSayer.com with the intent of updating my portfoiio. In that time, I had remade the site several times, but was never happy with the outcome. After a lot of trashed ideas and many hours of hard work, I came to the conclusion that a complete revision was in order. Out of that realization, the concept for Rookee seemed to flow faster than I could keep up.

  Rookee: The Work of Adam Sayer is a design concept created by the artist himself to represent his talent, his passion and his zeal. Adam is a natural born artist with an eye for design. His concepts coupled with his meticulous technique set him apart from his competition. His goal is to create stimulating, innovative designs with precision and a fresh perspective.

  Adam started expanding his art and dove into graphic design about five years ago for a local band designing merchandise and promotional web work. From there his interest in design caused him to explore a higher education, where he studied at Gloucester County Community College in New Jersey. It wasn’t long until the urge to submerse himself in his art took over and he moved to the highly populated outskirts of New York City. It was in New York that he saw the potential for immense growth and opportunity. Shortly after his arrival, he began seeking more knowledge in the form of mentors, books, and internet sources. It was only a matter of time before Adam attracted a loyal client base, with work ranging from business cards and logo work to flash headers and full websites.

  It is because of his passion for art and design that he chose a career that requires strong self-discipline, a deep sense of self and a confident approach to propel his career to new heights each and every day. As Adam brings a fresh perspective and an eager approach to his designs, he will in turn produce the same innovation for your business. Whether it is a logo to brand your name as one many will see and remember or a website to show off the quality and promise your company has to offer, Adam’s work stands above the rest.

Christie Caiola

Christie Caiola is a makeup artist based out of North Jersey. She first came to me looking for a business card. For her website she was looking for something simple, and clean that would not take away from her work. To achieve the look, I used small amounts of neutral blues in correspondance with the design of her business card. As for the simplicity, I installed a script allowing the pages to scroll left and right in accordance to the movement of the user's mouse.

CBI Enclosures

CBI Enclosures creates custom shower enclosures, glass railings, mirrors, etc. They are based out of New Jersey, but also service the surrounding states. They wanted something that would encompass the elegant design and meticulous measurement that went into each and every door. The website also had to be able to carry the information necessary for it to be a functioning online catalogue. In order to achieve the clients specific instructions, I used dark grays and black to give it a classy, refined look. For the effective portfolio style, I used Flash coupled with a lightbox effect.

Family Bible Church

The Family Bible Church is located in Muskegon, MI. The website was given as a Christmas gift. In a crunch for time, the client opted to go with a very basic 5-page design. While still completely custom designed to meet the client's needs, this is the most basic web option I offer.

Jenn Flores

After graduating makeup school, this client came to me looking for a new business card to start her business off and market her name. What she ended up with was a complete brand custom fit to her personality, creativity and professionalism. The simple design was created using the shape of a heart and the silhouette of a lipstick. These two shapes coupled together represent her passion for her craft. A light floral design was applied, alluding to her name.

Ken Prins

This client came to me looking to market his services to a younger clientel than he had previously been working for. He requested a business card that was as bold as it was lightweight. To reach a fresher audience, I used a white canvas broken up with splashes of orange. I then used a bolding effect to set his name apart from the supporting text.

Christie Caiola

This client came to me in search of a business card that her clients would remember. To escape convention, I picked out a very eye-catching blue to be the base of the card. To ensure that I didn't take away from the power of the blue, I stuck with white to add the details to the card. The client was very happy with her card and has been told that it is very memorable.

Kristin's Cookies

This business card was a surprise Christmas present. As such, I was not able to contact the client directly to design the card. The two things I had to go on was that she made gourmet, custom cookies, and that she mainly served weddings. I chose to go with a very light grey to represent a formal look. The cookie was a custom illustration I created for the card.

Mint Stylist

Mint Stylist consists of one zealous fashion designer/wardrobe styist. She was one of my very first clients upon leaving school. She came to me with an existing business card, but was not happy with it. She felt that it did not represent the boldness that her clothing embodied. I chose to go with a sleek, black base and used shades of gray to represent the logo. I then chose a very bold purple to accent important information on the card.

CBI Enclosures

CBI Enclosures first came to me with an old logo and an idea. For years, the Pegasus has been synonymous with their business. I took their old logo and modernized it to better represent the contemporary appeal of their work. Once designed, card was printed on semi-transparent vellum. This material made it possible to bring out the business name and logo, despite the subdued light blue color. The subtleness of the design coupled with the uniqueness of the material is what makes it memorable.

Wiztechs

This client had no idea what direction he wanted to go in to market his brand new computer repair company. He gave me full creative freedom to design something I thought would best represent his business. Since Wiztechs consists of ambitious young men, I chose very masculine blues with a more contemporary font. To incorporate a bit of what their company does, I created a flash drive to stand as the "i".
