Family Bible Church was founded in 1976, in the basement of the home of Jerry and Judy DePoy of Muskegon. A graduate of Mona Shores High School, Pastor Jerry received his Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministry from Tennessee Temple University, where he met and married Judy (Lockwood) DePoy.

It was his sincere burden for his hometown, that ignited a passion for Jerry and Judy to return to Muskegon. They set out to start a new church that would emphasize Biblical preaching, and local outreach. The church began to outgrow their home, a storefront location, and two other buildings, before landing at their current location.

Pastor Jerry is first and foremost a family man, dedicated to His wife and their four grown children. He is dedicated to the grandchildren, and can often be seen making sandcastles and “snipe-hunting” with several kids in tow.
